our commitment

HILOHA is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our digital presence and to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard.

what we're doing

  • Designing and building with semantic HTML, logical heading order, and meaningful landmark regions.
  • Providing visible, high-contrast focus indicators on all interactive elements.
  • Including descriptive alt text for informative images.
  • Supporting prefers-reduced-motion — animations are disabled for users who request reduced motion.
  • Maintaining a minimum text contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
  • Building all interactive components to be fully keyboard-navigable.
  • Providing a skip-to-main-content link as the first focusable element on every page.

known limitations

While we aim for full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance, some areas are still being improved. We are actively auditing third-party embeds and complex interactive components. We appreciate your patience as we work toward full conformance.

technical specifications

This site relies on the following technologies for conformance:

  • HTML5
  • CSS (custom properties, system-level media queries)
  • JavaScript / React (Next.js 14 App Router)
  • ARIA landmarks and roles where native HTML is insufficient

We have tested using keyboard-only navigation and screen readers including VoiceOver (macOS / iOS) and NVDA (Windows).
